About Brandyn

Celebrating

the Golden Era of

British Dance Bands

Brandyn is widely acclaimed as one of the country’s most authentic vintage entertainers. He has notably sang and been interviewed on the BBC’s documentary, 'Len Goodman’s Dance Band Days', as well as numerous BBC radio programmes,

re-enacting one of the greatest crooners of the period - Al Bowlly.

Brandyn's show takes you to a time when most people's entertainment was listening to the wireless, with his  recreation of an early 1940’s radio broadcast. Listen to the birth of 'pop' music and the hits of the day - with Brandyn’s vocal tributes to Al Bowlly, Sam Browne, Val Rosing,

J. Pat O'Malley, and the cheeky Harry Roy, to name but a few.

There are a few funny surprises along the way as Brandyn announces the original adverts of the day!
